ISLPR Language Services' COVID-19 Policy

Posted by Kenina Ingram on March 16, 2020 at 4:26 PM

As you may be aware, the Australian and New Zealand Governments introduced new rules and regulations over the weekend in an effort to control the COVID-19 outbreak. Regardless of your own personal views, ISLPR Language Services will be taking great caution when it comes to protecting our staff, customers, families and friends. Due to the close nature of the ISLPR test (one-to-one testing in a small enclosed room), the sensible thing to do at the moment is heed the advice of the Australian government and health officials and practise social distancing. We believe that, if all citizens heed the advice provided by the authorities, we may be able to reduce the impact this virus will have on our community and, in particular, the health system in Australia.

ISLPR testing in New Zealand 2020

Posted by Kenina Ingram on December 5, 2019 at 10:20 AM

UPDATE: due to COVID-19 we are unable to confirm future travel dates to Auckland. We will notify candidates via email once we have more information to share.

We are a Brisbane based company that travels to conduct the test in different locations. Although restrictions are easing, borders are still closed and therefore, we are unable to confirm new test dates. Please note that we are keeping up to date with all the changes to restrictions. As soon as it is possible for us to travel again we will let you know.

The ISLPR® test is currently accepted by the New Zealand Teacher Registration Board. Why choose the ISLPR® test? The ISLPR® test is a personalised English test that focuses on your background and needs when formulating the content of the test. Each test is individually prepared by your tester to ensure the content is relevant to you e.g. a teacher might be asked in the writing test to write a letter to a parent explaining why their child was given a detention. At ILS, language testing is personal.

Language is an interactive and social skill. Therefore, we believe English should be taught and tested similarly.

ISLPR Language Services (ILS) developed the ISLPR® Test because we saw the need for a test that examined your real-life language. The ISLPR® Test is an interactive and personalised test. As the ISLPR test is personalised for each candidate, there are no tricks to pass the test.

Why we're different:

  • We test your speaking, listening and reading skills in a one-to-one interview.
  • The content of your test is customised to match your area of expertise.
  • The ISLPR is the shortest English test, therefore minimising the chance of fatigue.
  • We offer individual English tutorials with accredited tutors.
  • We offer a feedback service so you can find out why you got that rating in your test.
